888 now with Playtech live tables

888 have started the new year beefing up their live game range, adding games from Playtech.

They join the growing ranks of live casinos that now offer players access to both the major providers – Evolution and Playtech.

This used to be quite an exclusive club. No longer. Leo Vegas joined the club late lat year. GVC brands have been offering both for just over a year now (in certain jurisdictions). William Hill started the club way back when.

Going a step further, 888’s new additions include a range of Playtech private tables, making them one of the very few operators to carry private tables from both Evolution and Playtech.

888 Playtech tables…including exclusive

888’s new Playtech live games lobby gives you access to all of Playtech’s ‘all-access’ games – Game Shows included.

Additionally, under the ‘888 Exclusive‘ you’ll find three 888 branded exclusive tables:

888sport Blackjack

Take a regular Playtech 7-seat live blackjack table, add 888 branding, updates on current and future sporting events and related betting lines (at 888 of course) and you’ve 888sport Blackjack.

Presumably sports related banter will be encouraged down the track, when banter is less mask-inhibited.

888sport Roulette

It’s a similar story with 888sport Roulette.

A single zero wheel and identical interface to Playtech’s regular roulette tables (including the Bet Creator feature), with sports news, updates and betting lines updated on the background screen.

888sport All Bets

This is a sports themed version of All Bets Blackjack. Again, same rules as the base game. Just more little sports banter and cross promotion going on.

Industry homogenisation

Over the past year or so, two things that have become evident are:

  1. more operators choosing to offer live games from all the major providers, and
  2. more similarity in look of live games between providers.

As a result, it is becoming harder to differentiate the offering of the major operators, from a live games viewpoint anyway.
