We have our MACtion spread out over two days to start this college football betting week once again. We have two more on Thursday and three on Friday before our massive 44 game Saturday.
We lose one MAC game this week and one Friday and Saturday game so far. Last week many of the canceled games didn’t come down until Friday morning. There’s always a chance more could get the axe.
For those of you that are new to this, I pick every college football game every week. Not a top five. Not a top ten. All of them. Big deal, right? Lots of people make picks. Well, I do them all against the spread! I take the odds of each game and average them out at all the Vegas casinos and round to the nearest half. There will be no ties here. Ties are for the other football.
I also assign a point value based on the confidence I have in each pick. 1 means that I have little to no confidence. 5 is one I would place a decent wager on. I keep track of my record and my points back from year to year.
As we all well know, this is not an exact science. Due to the volatile nature of betting in general, this is for entertainment purposes only! I cannot be responsible for the loss of money, possessions, spouses, or limbs because of my picks. I can’t have that on my conscious.
Without further delay, let’s get to the six games that kick off week 11!
Buffalo(-30.5) at Bowling Green(3): I hate huge lines like this, but the Falcons have lost their two games by an average of 36.5 points. This feels safe. Give me the Bulls.
Akron at Kent State(-23.5)(3): Kent rolled the Falcons last week. Akron showed a little bit of resistance last week, but Kent is one of the better offenses in the MAC. Don’t count on the Zips getting stops. I’ll take Kent.
Northern Illinois at Ball State(-13.5)(2): This line is rising and that makes me nervous. Ball State should be better than they are. I like the passing game, but the defense is a problem. That said, NIU has had issues moving the ball. I’ll take the Lettermans.
Toledo(-6.5) at Eastern Michigan(2): The Eastern Michigan offense is just fine under Preston Hutchinson. The defense is a bit of a sore spot. That’s going to get exposed by Toledo, who will ground them into submission. I’ll take the Rockets.
Western Michigan at Central Michigan(-1.5)(1): This is one I wont be rushing out to bet on. I will be lining up to watch it though. This is shaping up to be a really good game. I’d rather bet the under than the spread, but we do spreads here. I’ll take WMU. Beating Toledo was an impressive win no matter how they did it.
Stay tuned throughout the season for every college football game picked against the spread! I usually have my picks up about 24 hours before kickoff in order to get the most accurate spread possible. If I change one, I will post it on Twitter.
