Iowa and Indiana see record handles October Betting

Both Iowa and Indiana saw records for sports betting for the second consecutive month.

With the NFL and college football driving the increase, Indiana generated $230.9 million while Iowa’s handle for October was $81.9 million.

It was the second consecutive month the Hoosier State cleared the $200 million mark, having posted a handle of $207.4 million in September thanks to the confluence of pro football along with baseball, hockey and basketball playoffs.

The hold for Iowa’s sportsbooks was $9.1 million. In Indiana, the books generated $21.1 million in revenue.
