NBA Betting Preview: Orlando Magic vs. Toronto Raptors – Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021

The Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic have similar records this season, but that’s nothing to celebrate over. The Raptors are just 8-12 and the Magic are just 8-13, despite both of them being touted as some of the East’s best teams at the start of the season. They could both use a boost as the season continues.

With that said, they’ll get an opportunity to play against each other on Tuesday night. They have a 7:00PM ET tipoff inside Amway Center in Orlando, FL. It should be an interesting matchup, but injuries could play a major role in the outcome — more with the Orlando Magic, than the Toronto Raptors.

The Magic will be without Al-Farouq Aminu, Aaron Gordon, and Michael Carter-Williams, despite already being without Markelle Fultz and Jonathan Isaac. On the other end, the Toronto Raptors will be without OG Anunoby and Patrick McCaw, as well as having Normal Powell listed as questionable for this matchup.

Toronto Raptors Betting Preview: Can the Raptors win their second-straight?

The Toronto Raptors are fresh off a 115-102 victory against this very same Orlando Magic team on Sunday. After a day’s rest, they’re preparing for an opportunity at two-straight wins — which would feel nice after dropping three-straight leading up to this double-header against Orlando.

They’re going to want to lean on Pascal Siakam, who finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block on Sunday. They could use a little more from Kyle Lowry, who shot 4-13 from the field and finished with just 12 points. DeAndre Bembry and Yuta Watanabe need to provide scoring off the bench.

Orlando Magic Betting Preview: Will the Magic get their revenge against Orlando?

The Orlando Magic didn’t win their last game out against Toronto, which is starting to become a growing trend with this team. They’ve now dropped three-straight and have lost five of their last six games. In fact, they’ve lost 11 of their past 13 games and have seen their record drop to a miserable 8-13.

They didn’t get a whole lot of production from anyone when they played the Raptors on Sunday. Cole Anthony led the team with 16 points and Nikola Vucevic chipped in another 15 points, but Vucevic only shot 5-18 from the field. Evan Fournier also underperformed with just 11 points on 2-12 shooting from the field.

Raptors vs. Magic Betting Odds & Lines

Will the Raptors extend their win-streak or will the Magic get their revenge from Sunday’s loss? BetOnline has the Toronto Raptors (-108) with the 6.5-point advantage over the Orlando Magic (-112). They also have the over/under listed at 215 total points.

Losing Aaron Gordon is a huge blow to a team already missing several key starters. Nikola Vucevic has held his own this season, but he’s forced to shoot often and it’s leading to him being very inefficient. Having Fournier back definitely helps, but they need more from him than what they received on Sunday.

The Toronto Raptors need to take advantage of this for the second game in a row. They don’t have any better of a record this season than the Orlando Magic, so they need all the wins they can get right now — and that’s exactly what I think they’re going to get on Tuesday night.

Final Score Prediction 114-107, Toronto Raptors.
