ESPN recently covered the 2021 plans for CBLoL. This pertains to the Brazilian League of Legends Championship.

Riot Games released a statement to the press on Friday, Oct 2. The franchise system of the CBLoL will consist of 10 teams. This is the country’s largest eSports Betting championship circuit for LoL. There will be two brand new teams in next year’s lineup.
The first is LOUD. This comes as no big surprise to anyone familiar with the competition. It was widely speculated that LOUD would be part of the 10-team list. This organization is one of the biggest players in Free Fire. It has also garnered a strong following through social media outlets.

Competitive LoL play Traces back to Bianca “Thaiga” Lula.
This team’s original entrance into competitive LoL play can be traced back to Bianca “Thaiga” Lula. She has done an excellent job as an influencer. She is also an LoL streamer.
LOUD is viewed as a true phenomenon in the creation of content. It is also built on its reputation competing in Free Fire. The team currently has 9.7 million subscribers on YouTube alone.
The other new team is Cruzeiro. This is an actual Brazilian soccer club from Minas Gerais. The club decided to expand into esports competitions. It is currently competing in Free Fire. The team also competed in FIFA through a partnership with E-Flix eSports.
LoL will be the Cruzeiro Esports third competitive endeavor in the realm of esports. E-Flix serves as the teams management for the club’s esports division.
Other 2021 CBLoL Teams
- Falkol Prodigy is one of the 10 teams. This is a product of a merger between Falkol and Prodigy. The sole intention of this merger was to build a stronger overall team. Former Prodigy players involved are Matheys “dyNquedo” Rossini and Francisco “fNb” Braz. They were both part of a loan agreement with the option to sign after the loan.
- Flamengo Esports secured its place in CBLoL. The recent conflicts of interest with Simplicity’s CEO Jed Kaplan did not impact the team’s standing. Foreign investments provided the financial backing. Flamengo’s esports team is a product of another actual soccer club. That club lost to Cruzeiro in the 2017 Brazil Cup finals.
- Another team moving in a new direction is FURIA Esports. This team came together late in 2019 after uniting with the Uppercut organization. This CBLoL franchise entry was better known for its affiliation with CS:GO. It is now set on leaving its mark in LoL competition.
- The reigning favorite in 2021 is INTZ. They are the current champions of CBLoL. They also served as Brazil’s representative in this year’s League of Legends World Championship. INTZ will be gunning for its sixth title in CBLoL competition.
