Yanan Wu (11-3-0)
Wu is coming off of a split decision loss back in August of 2019 against Mizuki Inoue. This is her second loss in the UFC, now boasting a 1-2 record overall.
Her fighting resume shows that she has seven wins by knockout, two by submission, and two by decision. She also has six first round finishes with a combination of knockouts and submissions.
“Mulan” has a striking accuracy at 45 percent and a grappling accuracy at 14 percent. She lands 4.79 significant strikes a minute while absorbing 4.35. This ratio is solid, but could look to try and defend better.
Wu has a takedown defense at 58 percent and a significant strike defense at 52 percent. She also averages 0.44 takedowns and 0.40 submissions every 15 minutes.
Joselyne Edwards (9-2-0)
Edwards is returning to the octagon with a knockout victory back in July of 2020 against Pamela Gonzalez. She was able to bounce back quickly after her defeat against Sarah Alpar.
Her fighting resume shows that she has five wins by knockout, three by submission, and one by decision. She also has six first round finishes with a combined effort of knockouts and submissions.
“La Pantera” will be making her UFC debut in this matchup. She has fought well across various fighting events such as UWC, LFA 55, KOTC, and primarily in UCC.
Edwards’ career dates back to early 2015. Her best fighting streak in that timeframe has been seven consecutive wins.

Edwards has solid potential, especially with ending a handful of fights quickly in both knockouts and submissions. The main argument here is has she had enough quality opponents when she was dominant in those fights?
Wu has had a taste of the UFC talent and even claimed a victory. Although she has dropped two fights, it is still valuable experience moving forward and learning.
Overall, it is understandable that the market might not know who will come out on top so there is a lot of uncertainty here. Anything can happen, but Wu arguably will have a slight edge when she enters the octagon against Edwards.
